LEAP lasts a few days. The content should last all year.
Fast Company Middle East is a leading business media platform covering innovation, technology, leadership, creativity and design. MAZ NEXA proposes a full video production partnership around its presence at LEAP: four video podcasts, a series of executive interviews, one event highlights film and two vertical social reels per filming day — captured by a professional on-ground crew with an editor present, then finished in post to Fast Company Middle East’s editorial and visual standards.
Engagement at a glance
From coverage that ends when the event ends, to a library that keeps working.
The filming window at LEAP is narrow and access to speakers is fleeting. What is not planned before the doors open does not get shot.
What makes filming at LEAP hard
- The window is only a few days wide, and executive access is dense but fleeting.
- Interviews that are not scheduled and lit in advance simply do not happen.
- Long-form podcast and short vertical content need different capture setups — deciding on the day costs takes.
- Footage shot without an editor on the ground surfaces weeks later, after the conversation has moved on.
- Unsorted, unbacked-up rushes mean editorial value that cannot be recovered.
What this engagement delivers
- A scheduled production plan finished before the event opens: call sheets, run of show, lighting and sound solved.
- Four complete podcast episodes, 15–20 minutes, with up to three speakers each.
- An editor on site turning the day’s rushes into reels while the event is still running.
- One highlights film that carries the energy of the whole event in two to five minutes.
- Daily backup and organised archiving, and a content library that keeps publishing long after LEAP closes.
Four sections — from understanding to commercials.
What gets produced, and when it lands.
The full detail lives in the Deliverables and Commercial tabs.
Every deliverable passes through edit, colour grading, sound, graphics, subtitles and licensed music before delivery.

Why LEAP in particular
LEAP is where the subjects Fast Company Middle East covers converge in one place at one time: founders, investors, technology leaders and policymakers. The purpose of the coverage is to capture the energy, the key moments, the executive interactions and the overall experience — and to produce high-quality visual content suitable for social media, editorial use, corporate communications and future promotional campaigns, reflecting the brand’s progressive and influential identity.
Exactly what is included — and what is not.
We list the exclusions explicitly so nothing turns into a surprise line item mid-production.
Included in this proposal
- Creative direction and full production planning
- 4 video podcasts, 15–20 minutes each, with up to 3 speakers
- Video interviews, 5–7 minutes each (quantity to be confirmed)
- 1 LEAP highlights video, 2–5 minutes
- 2 social media reels per filming day, 60–90 seconds each
- A professional filming crew and equipment
- An on-site editor throughout the filming days
- Full post-production: editing, colour grading, sound, graphics, subtitles and licensed music
- Data wrangling and backup on every filming day
- Final delivery in digital and social media formats
Outside scope (quoted separately if needed)
- Event photography and stills coverage — this proposal covers video
- Additional filming days beyond those quoted
- Paid media, boosting and distribution budget
- Stand booking, permits, access passes and on-site power
- Speaker fees, talent and presenter booking
- Studio hire or set build away from the event venue
- Subtitling into languages beyond those agreed at kick-off
- Revisions beyond the two included rounds
Three stages — and everything that can be settled in advance is settled before the shoot.
A lot of time, effort and money go into organising a shoot, so the last thing we want is for things to go wrong on the day. Our experience ensures a fully prepared crew that captures everything we need.
Pre-Production
Our team begins by developing the right way to go about producing your video — before a single camera leaves its case.
What we develop
- Concept development and creative treatment
- Storyboarding
- Scriptwriting and interview question lines
- Determining shoot locations inside the event
- Talent casting, coordinated with the editorial team
- A site recce ahead of the filming days
- Lighting and sound solutions for each filming location
- Briefing the Fast Company Middle East team on what is needed from their side
What we lock before LEAP opens
- The run of show — the interview and podcast schedule, speaker by speaker and hour by hour
- A call sheet and shoot plan issued to Fast Company Middle East so arrangements can be made on their side
- The podcast setup: seating, backdrop, camera count and microphone assignment
- A fixed, pre-lit interview corner that cuts turnaround time between guests
- A pre-run where the nature of the shoot requires it, to avoid unexpected hiccups
- A fallback path if a speaker runs late or the event schedule shifts
Production — The Shoot
A fully prepared crew, a written plan, and an editor working on the ground while the cameras are still rolling.
Professional crew & equipment
A full filming crew with professional cameras, lenses, lighting and sound — equipped to work in a crowded, shifting exhibition environment.
The podcast unit
A fixed multi-camera setup for four episodes, 15–20 minutes each, with up to three speakers and isolated audio per microphone.
The interview unit
A pre-lit interview corner receiving executives back to back — 5 to 7 minute interviews captured quickly without trading away quality.
Highlights & B-roll unit
A roaming unit capturing atmosphere, audience, stands and key moments — the material the highlights film and the reels are built from.
The on-site editor
Working from a field edit station: selecting takes, cutting the first reel versions the same day, and flagging the crew immediately if a shot is missing.
Data wrangling & backup
Dual backups at the end of every filming day, with structured naming and archiving that keeps every shot retrievable later.
Post-Production
Our job is to ensure everything we have shot looks as high quality as possible. The edit lets us arrange the moments we captured so the viewer takes the most engaging journey possible. Because we established during planning where each video will be used, we tailor the assets for every specific platform to get as many people watching as we can.
Editing
Building the narrative from the rushes: take selection, pacing, and the order of the journey the viewer takes.
Colour grading
Matching image across cameras, locations and lighting conditions, then setting a final look consistent with the visual identity.
Sound & mix
Cleaning exhibition-floor noise, balancing speaker levels, and a final mix that sits dialogue and music together.
Graphics & titles
Speaker lower thirds, transitions, brand bugs and motion elements — aligned to Fast Company Middle East’s visual standards.
Subtitles
Timed subtitles on every deliverable — a practical requirement, since most social viewing happens without sound.
Licensed music
Music legally licensed for commercial use, so no deliverable is exposed to a rights claim or a platform block.
- Two revision rounds are included on the deliverables within the agreed scope; any additional rounds are charged separately.
- Feedback is consolidated into one round per stage — scattered notes across multiple messages are the single biggest drain on edit time.
- Delivery is in digital and social media formats, in the aspect ratios each platform requires.
Four formats, each with a different job.
Long-form podcasts build editorial authority, mid-form interviews carry the leadership voices, one film condenses the whole event, and vertical reels capture attention first.
What each deliverable does, and for whom.
The video podcast
Four episodes, up to three speakers each, shot on a fixed multi-camera setup. This is the material that builds editorial authority and keeps working for months after the event.
Executive interviews
Short, focused interviews with the leaders present at LEAP, filmed back to back in a pre-lit corner. The quantity is confirmed against the agreed speaker schedule.
The highlights film
One film gathering the atmosphere, the key moments and the executive interactions into a single piece — the deliverable best suited to the homepage, corporate communications and later campaigns.
Social reels
Two per filming day, cut on site, in 9:16 with burned-in subtitles — because most viewing is mobile and silent.
Every deliverable with its spec.
| Deliverable | Duration | Quantity | Format | Where it runs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Video podcast (up to 3 speakers) | 15–20 min | 4 | Horizontal 16:9 | YouTube · site · podcast platforms |
| Executive video interview | 5–7 min | TBC | Horizontal 16:9 | Site · YouTube · LinkedIn |
| LEAP highlights film | 2–5 min | 1 | Horizontal 16:9 | Homepage · corporate comms · decks |
| Vertical reel (2 per filming day) | 60–90 sec | 8 | Vertical 9:16 | Instagram · TikTok · Shorts · LinkedIn |
| Post-production package | on every asset | Full | Edit · colour · sound · graphics · subtitles · music | Digital & social media formats |
The interview quantity is stated in the source proposal as “to be confirmed” and is fixed once the speaker schedule is approved. Reels are quoted at eight units — two per each of the four highlights filming days.
How the material moves from the filming day to publication.
Capture
The fixed podcast unit, the pre-lit interview unit and the roaming highlights unit — all three run off one call sheet, so no schedule collides and no moment on the floor is lost.
On-site edit
The field editor sorts takes as they land and cuts the first reel versions while the event is still on. If a shot is missing, the crew knows within minutes rather than weeks.
Backup & archive
Dual backups and structured file naming at the end of each day. The rushes stay retrievable, so Fast Company Middle East can come back to them later for any editorial use.
Assembly & delivery
The long-form pieces are assembled, pass through the two revision rounds, then finish with colour, sound, graphics and subtitles — delivered in the formats and ratios each platform needs.
Four things we state plainly.
- Subtitles are included on every deliverable. The languages are agreed at kick-off; any language added afterwards is quoted separately.
- Music is commercially licensed within the price, so no deliverable is exposed to a rights claim or a platform block.
- The interview quantity is to be confirmed, as stated in the source proposal, and is fixed when the speaker schedule is approved a week out.
- Rushes are handed over on request on media supplied by Fast Company Middle East, or stay archived with us for future reference.
Six weeks — three before the event, the LEAP days, and two after.
The schedule is built around the event date, not calendar months. The three lead-in weeks begin on approval, and the LEAP days sit in the middle of the plan.
Exactly what lands, and when.
| When | Milestone | Deliverable | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week −3 | Kick-off & creative direction | Production plan & creative direction note | Joint |
| Week −2 | Run of show agreed | Confirmed podcast & interview schedule | FCME approval |
| Week −2 | Recce & set plan | Location, lighting and sound plan | MAZ NEXA |
| Week −1 | Call sheet issued | Call sheet & shoot plan handed to the client | MAZ NEXA |
| LEAP days | Filming | Podcasts, interviews, highlights and B-roll captured | MAZ NEXA |
| LEAP days — daily | Daily wrap | Rushes backed up + first reel cuts from the on-site editor | MAZ NEXA |
| Week +1 | First cuts | 4 podcasts + interviews + highlights film, round one | MAZ NEXA |
| Week +1 | Feedback round one | Consolidated notes in a single document | FCME approval |
| Week +2 | Second cuts | Revised edits — the second and final included round | MAZ NEXA |
| Week +2 | Finishing | Colour, sound, graphics, subtitles and licensed music | MAZ NEXA |
| Week +2 | Final delivery | All assets in digital and social media formats | Final handover |
The timeline above assumes these inputs.
We state them explicitly because the filming window at LEAP does not come round again: what is not locked before the event cannot be recovered after it.

MAZ NEXA — a joint venture between the international agency NEXA and Saudi-based MAZ Holding.
Headquartered in Riyadh with two decades of experience across local, regional and international markets. We work as a consultative partner rather than an execution vendor, combining international expertise with a deep understanding of local culture.
Four pieces of work close to this brief.
Work that is not identical in context, but mirrors the energy, scale and emotion we aim to bring to the LEAP coverage — and shows our attention to detail and our ability to elevate events into cinematic moments.
Carestream
We supported Carestream's digital strategy while they hosted a stand at a healthcare exhibition. As part of a daily wrap-up video series, we produced content promoting their portable x-ray devices, showcasing portability, ease of use and imaging quality — our closest analogue to covering an exhibition stand with content that publishes day by day.
Middle East Film & Comic Con
The NEXA team covered the 2020 edition, featuring well-known actors and artists, capturing the event's highlights through high-quality video — interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and the convention atmosphere. The same mix this LEAP brief calls for.
A2RL — Yas Island
A film documenting the A2RL event at Yas Island: dynamic track footage, audience engagement, fan zones, sponsor activations and the accompanying entertainment experiences — cut cinematically to convey the energy and thrill of the event.
LIV Developers
The NEXA team filmed a piece showcasing a Dubai property, highlighting amenities, interiors and views, with stakeholder interviews providing insight into the project's vision and inspiration — the same model of weaving an interview inside a visual narrative.
